Partnership and bursary opportunities
Indigenous Data Our Way is a two-day forum on First Nations data governance and sovereignty, held in Melbourne on 11 and 12 November 2026 in partnership with the Indigenous Data Network.
Our partnership packages are built differently from most conference sponsorships. Most of what you pay funds Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community delegates to attend the forum. You get the platform. The community gets the seat.
What a bursary partnership does
- 1.
It removes the cost barrier. Community-controlled organisations, Aboriginal health services, land councils and language centres want to be in this conversation. Registration cost is what keeps them out of it. A bursary pass covers a delegate's place at the forum.
- 2.
It gives you something you can report. Every Gold and Silver partner receives a written Community Impact Report after the forum, naming the organisations that attended with their consent, the sessions they took part in, and what came out of them. It is designed to be lodged against a Reconciliation Action Plan relationships or opportunities commitment.
- 3.
It puts you on the program, not just on a banner. Gold partners deliver a 20-minute address on the main stage. Silver partners join a panel discussion. All speaking content is agreed with the forum's advisory group.
How bursary passes are allocated
Bursary passes are not ours to hand out. Recipients are nominated by the forum's advisory group and allocated to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled organisations, health services, land councils and language centres that would not otherwise be able to attend.
Partners are named publicly as the funder. Partners do not select recipients, and no partner receives a recipient's contact details.
